Assistant/Trainer (general admission plus backstage access): $55 (only applicable to those helping a competitor prepare backstage. One assistant max per competitor is permitted.
Tickets are good for both portions of the event. There are not separate tickets for one portion or the other. Tickets will be available for purchase online until Friday May 1st. After then they will only be available for purchase at the door the day of the contest. Ticket prices the day of the event are the same as above for cash transaction. For credit card transaction, prices will be $41 (Adult General admission), $16 (Ages 3-12 General admission), $57 (Assistant/Trainer).

Entry Fees & Deadlines
If entry is received by April 12th:
Entry fee for one division: $79. Entry fee for additional divisions: $59 each.
After April 12th a late entry fee of $50 will apply.
Monday April 27th is the last day entries will be accepted for the event.
Entry fees are non-refundable.

DEBUT DIVISION CRITERIA: First competition ever. Competitors cannot have ever competed in any category within any organization's contest.
NOVICE DIVISION CRITERIA: Cannot have placed first in any class (besides Teen), within any division, within any category, with any organization (with the exception of cases where first place was won in a class that only had one competitor). Competing in both a Debut & Novice division in a category is not permitted.
Classes (within a division)
Whenever there's more than one class for a division, classes are formed by dividing competitors evenly by height.
Crossover Entries (entering more than one division within a category)
A crossover entry means entering more than one division within a category. For example, someone may enter the Novice division in a category, if eligible, and also elect to crossover into the Open division and compete in it as well. Competitors may not participate in more than one category (Bikini, Figure, Physique, Bodybuilding, Classic Physique) at any given show. Also, competing in both a Debut & Novice division in a category is not permitted.
The top 5 placement winners in each class will receive Niels Andersen sculptured awards.
The top 5 placement winners in every class of Open and Age divisions qualify for their respective division(s) at the August 29th OCB Yorton Cup in Washington, D.C.
The Open and Over Age 40 divisions' overall winners in each category will become qualified to compete as OCB Pros in their respective division(s).
Competitors are required to hold current OCB memberships to participate in this event. If needing to obtain the annual membership, please register by a week before the event. Memberships can be purchased on OCBonline.com.
This is a natural competition. Use of performance enhancing substances is not allowed. All competitors must meet eligibility criteria listed in the OCB drug testing guidelines in order to participate. Prior to registering, competitors should review the procedures and list of banned substances posted on OCBonline.com.
Banned Substances Screening Methods
All competitors are required to go through polygraph (lie detector) screenings prior to competing. In addition, all pro-qualifying placement winners are required to provide urine specimens immediately after the event for urinalysis (failure to do so may result in pro eligibility being void and/or disqualification).
Event Check-Ins/Polygraph Screenings
Event check-ins and polygraph screenings will be offered by appointment Thursday April 30th from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday May 1st from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the event's host hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, 201 East Cary St, Richmond, VA. Schedule an Appointment. The polygraph fee is $50 and is payable at the time of scheduling an appointment. Please try to schedule your polygraph appointment so it's before your spray tanning appointment if doing both the same day.
What to expect at event check-ins/polygraph screenings
Polygraph testing and check-in tasks will both be done at the appointment time scheduled. Check-in tasks will consist of distributing competitor number buttons and any advance tickets purchased, turning in photo order forms (if applicable), verifying paperwork, and any other administrative tasks that may be needed.
Holiday Inn Express, 201 East Cary St, Richmond, VA 23219. For reservations call (804) 788-1600 and mention group code "OCB", for a rate of $129/night. It's recommended to reserve by April 10th. Hotel may, at its discretion, release rooms in the room block that are not reserved by that date (but will continue to accept reservations thereafter from "OCB" guests on a space available basis. Note that self-parking is $15/night.
A roster with assigned competitor numbers and class breakdowns within divisions, where applicable, will be emailed to competitors by the end of the Wednesday before the show.
Each competitor is permitted to have a maximum of one helper backstage, if needed. Helpers must buy an assistant/trainer ticket, which is good for general admission and backstage access.
Competitor Prep Area
Light weights, stretch bands, and mirrors will be available backstage and can be used for when preparing to go on stage. Competitors are welcome to bring these items for their use as well.
There won't be a contestant briefing the day of the show. All information that would generally be provided at one is listed on this page, so please read everything carefully.

Professional Stage Photography Coverage
The photo order form lays out the details for stage photo coverage. Those who pre-order have a lot more photos taken of them. To order, competitors should print and hand in a completed form at event check-ins/polygraph.
Video Recording Policy
Competitors and friends/family are welcome to bring recording devices. There will not be a professional videographer on hand at the event.
Professional Spray Tanning Services
Professional spray tanning services are available from Body Beautiful Bronzing. Additional General Show Information
All competitors in all categories may submit their personal choice of music for use during their individual presentations. Music must not contain any profanity. Any music files provided should be submitted by April 25th at the latest and can be emailed as a file attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org (if unsure of what to do to send a file, visit Amazon.com, purchase the desired song (cost will be around $1), download the file, then attach it in the email). Music not received for any competitors by the deadline will have house music used for their presentations.
Competitors must be fully covered whenever in the theatre seating area. Exposed body areas that can allow tanning agent to stain seating cloth is to be avoided. Fines (cleaning fees) may be assessed to persons for violations.
Food or drink (other than water) is not permitted in the theatre. Keep coolers, etc. in backstage prep area.
Please show respect for the venue and promoters by taking care to keep on paper/plastic-protected areas for tanning, oiling, and preparation. Do not stray beyond protected areas.
Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
Competitors will have two competitor number buttons. For categories other than Bikini, one is to be worn on the front left of suit bottoms. For Bikini, competitor numbers on the front should be placed on the side that will be more directly facing the judges the majority of the time. For example, if a competitor's primary front pose is with right hip facing more forward, front button should be worn on the right side of suit bottom instead of the left. For all categories, the second button is to be worn on the rear center of suit bottoms.
When the head judge calls competitor numbers asking participants to switch places on stage with another competitor during group comparisons, competitors called should raise a hand so other competitors will be able to identify where they are to move to.
Be sure to review the guidelines on OCBonline.com for your category prior to the event and view the poses that will be called during group comparisons, as well a description of the path that is to be followed for the stage walks.
There will be expediters backstage who will be advising competitors when they should be getting ready and when they should be getting lined up to go out on stage for their class(es).
For group comparisons, competitors will line up near the front area of the stage where there will be a taped line marking the positioning for lineups.
For the individual presentations for the Bikini, Figure, and Men's Physique categories, an "I" walk will be performed. The I-walk consists of entering the stage and going to the "X" mark positioned at the rear center of the stage. Competitors are to strike one pose of their choice there, then walk towards the front area of the stage where there will be another "X" mark, then strike four poses of their choice before exiting the stage diagonally on the side they entered from.
The contest venue will be accessible any time after 8:30 AM the day of the show. It's recommended competitors arrive no later than 30 minutes before their segment's start time to allow enough time to get familiarized with the building layout and be ready to go on stage by start time.
For awards presentations, there will be numbers 1 through 5 taped to the stage floor. They represent placements. When a competitor is announced as winning a place, they should move to where that number is on the floor to receive their trophy. Trophies should be placed on the floor in front of competitors in preparation for a photo-op group pose that should be requested by the M.C. after all five placements have been awarded for the class.
For divisions that have more than one class, class winners should stay at the side stage area after receiving their awards. They will be called out with other class winners for group comparison judging to determine division overall winners.
